Change Left Navigation Layout

You will need to change the left navigation layout. Open up your DEV course and click on "Settings" (see red circle below).

Then click on the tab entitled "Navigation" (see red circle below).

Then change the navigation by clicking and dragging the items. This below is how it should look when you are done (see black circle below). Then click on "Save" (see red circle below). 

When you copy your course content into each term course, you should choose the option to copy the course settings. Then it will automatically change all of your term courses when you import content.

This is what the student will see when they log-in.
